If you've always wanted to explore Middle-earth, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is probably the game for you. Set shortly after Gollum loses the One Ring to Bilbo Baggins, the game will take you on an adventure around some of the most well-known locations from the world of The Lord of the Rings.
With Daedalic Entertainment having previously stated in an interview (The Hollywood Reporter) that “Everything that happens to him before he appears in the book are the main things we will see in our game," something that we feel makes sense within this action-adventure style game.
Known for his two, clashing sides, the The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will give players a chance to really develop Gollum's personality, with the opportunity of choosing which of his impulses you choose to follow. Though they've shared that the narrative branching options aren't quite as broad as other games, you will clearly be able to witness the change in a level depending on the choices made. Something we're really excited to explore.
Now, all that there's left to do is to create the perfect gaming set-up ahead of its release, featuring our Gollum Cable Guy.
The game is set to launch on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One on May 25, with a Switch game also in the works with a date still TBC.
