5 games you need for your PS5

With the PS5 launching in the UK TODAY, below are the games we are itching to try on the newest console (in addition to Black Ops: Cold War) through Christmas and beyond!

Miles Morales
Following best-seller Marvel’s Spider-Man (which has also been re-mastered for the new PlayStation), the exclusive sequel (and shorter game)Miles Morales is slicker and deeper than the original. Swapping Peter Parker for his younger protégé, players are introduced to a new story along with unique spider powers and gadgets. Said to be one of the best-looking games ever made, the features and loading times on the next-gen console have got us in awe. Does swinging around a snowy New York ever get old? Nope.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Reportedly Ubisoft’s best-selling game in its opening week, the 12th entry in the series is a hugely ambitious game set in the Viking dynasty. From autumnal English landscapes, to the snowy mountains of Norway, when you’re playing the main character (choose between male or female) Viking warrior Eivor, the speed is revolutionary; what used to take minutes now takes seconds - all enhanced by the next-gen technology. Plus, the story is super immersive, making it so much easier to game all-round!

Sackboy: A Big Adventure
Mascot for LittleBigPlanet and sometimes the PlayStation brand, finally has a game of his own! The cute and miniature Sackboy jumps around Craftverse, saving the world from the evil jester doll Vex. A jumper, much-like Crash Bandicoot, Sonic, and Mario and all the other mascots which came prior to him, this game rises to the mascot platformer concept like its predecessors. It’s repetitive, it’s simple, and definitely worth a go in you’re after a family-friendly game which makes the most of the PS5’s exclusive features.
Demon’s Souls
Launching as a day one PS5 title, Demon’s Souls is set to be enchanting. With cutting-edge visuals and tricks that only the latest console can master, it proves to be a thing of beauty aesthetically, whilst also being a tremendous challenge. A quest to restore the kingdom of Boletaria, it’s a dark and difficult game, but also a totally absorbing experience which builds on the original (from 2009), all with thanks to the PlayStation 5.
Cyberpunk 2077
Creators of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are moving on from the past to the future. Set in Night City, a corporation-controlled metropolis in California, players can forge their own path in the iconic neon city. While Cyberpunk is playable on the next-gen technology from 10 December, this is the standard version which has been enhanced by the power of these newer consoles. As most will know, the next-gen version is in the making and won’t be ready until 2021, but with some serious stars featuring including Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand, it’s set to be one of the biggest games of 2020! We’ve got ours on pre-order, have you?
